Bhante San began his monastic life very early age. He knew this was his path as a five-year-old. After his primary monastic education, he completed his higher education at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Then he became a teacher and taught different subjects at the International Bhikkhu Training Center. In 2006 Most Venerable Bhante Sujatha was visiting Sri Lanka and heard Bhante San was looking for a change. After few conversations Bhante San decided to come to the United States. He resided in Michigan Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara for few months and then joined Most Venerable Bhante Sujatha in his effort to build the Buddhist community in Woodstock, IL. He served there almost six years and then moved to Florida to finish his education. Currently he is a resident monk at the Serenity Buddhist Meditation Center and teach Dhamma under the guidance of Most Venerable Bhnate Sujatha and Bhante Chan.
